Student Program FAQ
Everything you need to know about the JukeHouse student discount program.
Who is eligible?
Any current student at an accredited institution with an active .edu email address is eligible. This includes undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. There are no restrictions based on field of study or country of origin — if your institution provides .edu email addresses, you qualify.
How does verification work?
You'll enter your .edu email address in your Account Settings under the Student Program section. We'll send a verification link to that email. Click the link and your Pro plan is activated immediately.
Your main JukeHouse account can use any email address — you don't need to sign up with a .edu email. However, if you did sign up with a .edu email, we'll automatically offer you the student plan during onboarding.
How long does it last?
Each verification lasts one year. You can verify up to 4 times, giving you a maximum of 4 years of free Pro access. We'll send you reminders when your verification is about to expire so you can re-verify.
How does re-verification work?
About 30 days before your annual verification expires, we'll send you an email reminder. You can re-verify by going to your Account Settings and requesting a new verification email. You can use the same or a different .edu email address each year.
What happens after 4 years?
After you've used all 4 years of the student program, we'll offer you a special discounted rate to continue on the Pro plan. If you choose not to upgrade, your account will be moved to the Standard plan, which is free but includes a 5% revenue share on royalties.
All your songs, registrations, and data remain intact regardless of which plan you're on.
What if I lose access to my .edu email?
If you lose access to your .edu email before your current verification period ends, your Pro plan remains active until the expiration date. When it's time to re-verify, you'll need a valid .edu email address. If you've transferred schools, you can use your new institution's .edu email.
If you can no longer verify with a .edu email, you can upgrade to the paid Pro plan or continue on the free Standard plan.
What's included in the student Pro plan?
The student Pro plan includes everything in the regular Pro plan:
- 100% royalty retention (0% revenue share)
- Unlimited song registrations
- Global PRO registrations
- Monthly accounting and analytics
- Split sheet management
- Full API access
- Priority support
Can I create multiple accounts?
The student program is limited to one account per student. Each .edu email can only be used to verify one JukeHouse account. If we detect duplicate verifications, we may revoke the student discount.
