Illustrative song data. Registration status is separate from royalty income.

You’re an artist. And a songwriter.

Your recordings aren’t the only part of your music that can earn. If you write music or lyrics, your songwriting can earn publishing royalties, too.

Your trackYour distributor
The recording you share with the world. Your distributor gets it onto music services and typically pays you the royalties that recording earns.
Your songwritingJukeHouse
The melody. The lyrics. The song behind the track. They can earn royalties of their own. We register the songwriting rights you submit and collect publishing income on your behalf.
Already with a PRO? There may be more to collect.

A performing rights organization (PRO) collects royalties when your songs are played or performed publicly. We help you collect publishing royalties you've earned beyond what your membership covers.

Questions before you start.

The basics of publishing with JukeHouse, from your rights to your first payout.

Do I need this if I already use a distributor or a PRO?

You may have publishing income beyond what those services collect. Your distributor usually handles recordings; your PRO covers the rights in your membership agreement. We register and collect for your share of the songs you submit. Check whether your existing services already include publishing administration so the same rights are not registered twice.

Can I bring songs from another publishing administrator?

Check your current agreement and its termination and collection periods before moving songs. Creating a JukeHouse account does not transfer existing administration. Contact us about your catalog before submitting rights that may still be administered elsewhere. Talk to us about your catalog.

What happens after I create an account?

You'll enter your account and songwriter information, choose a plan, and review and sign the administration agreement. Then add your songs and ownership splits. Creating an account alone does not register your catalog with collection societies.

Do I keep ownership of my songs?

Yes. Your copyright and creative control stay yours. During the agreement, we have the exclusive right to register and collect for the share you ask us to manage. Read the full terms.

How do I choose between Standard and Pro?

Start with Standard: no upfront or annual fee, with a 5% revenue share. Pro is $100 USD per year with no revenue share and a dedicated account manager. Revenue shares apply to Net Proceeds: income received after the permitted taxes and third-party costs defined in the agreement. Read the full terms.

When do I get paid?

We account for collected income monthly. Your first payment depends on when societies process your registrations and send income, so a newly registered song may not generate a payment in its first month.

We partner with Habitat Financial for reports and payments. Statements are available monthly. Payable balances of at least $50 are paid within 30 days after the applicable statement; smaller balances carry forward.

Can I remove songs or end administration?

The initial term is 28 days. After that, you can terminate or remove a composition with at least 28 days' written notice. Limited collection of income earned before removal can continue for 12 months under the agreement. Read the full terms.
