Student Program FAQ
Everything you need to know about the JukeHouse student discount program.
Who is eligible?
Any current student at an accredited institution with an active .edu email address is eligible. This includes undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. There are no restrictions based on field of study or country of origin, if your institution provides .edu email addresses, you qualify.
How does verification work?
You'll enter your .edu email address in your Account Settings under the Student Program section. We'll send a verification link to that email. Click the link to confirm eligibility and receive a 365-day Pro grant. If you already have Pro, the grant extends your existing access or moves your next paid renewal as described below.
Your main JukeHouse account can use any email address, you don't need to sign up with a .edu email. However, if you did sign up with a .edu email, we'll automatically offer you the student plan during onboarding.
How long does it last?
Each verification grants 365 days of Pro, and you can receive up to 4 verification grants. We'll send reminders before your verification expires.
The benefit starts immediately unless you already have time-limited Pro access, in which case it is added to the end. If you have paid Pro, your existing plan stays active and the next renewal and charge move by the same 365 days. Student verification never starts a paid subscription.
How does re-verification work?
About 30 days before your annual verification expires, we'll send you an email reminder. You can re-verify by going to your Account Settings and requesting a new verification email. You can use the same or a different .edu email address each year.
What happens after 4 years?
After you've used all 4 student grants, the student benefit ends. If no paid Pro or Enterprise plan remains active, your account moves to Standard, which has no upfront or annual fee and a 5% revenue share. You may purchase paid Pro at the current price shown on the Pricing Page.
All your songs, registrations, and data remain intact regardless of which plan you're on.
What if I lose access to my .edu email?
If you lose access to your .edu email before your current verification period ends, your Pro plan remains active until the expiration date. When it's time to re-verify, you'll need a valid .edu email address. If you've transferred schools, you can use your new institution's .edu email.
If you can no longer verify with a .edu email, you can upgrade to the paid Pro plan or continue on Standard with a 5% revenue share.
What's included in the student Pro plan?
Student Pro includes the regular Pro plan features shown on the Pricing Page:
- Everything in Standard
- 100% of net publishing royalties (0% revenue share)
- Dedicated account manager
API access, single sign-on, white labeling, and subpublishing are Enterprise features unless separate terms say otherwise.
Can I create multiple accounts?
Student benefits are for eligible Accounts and are not transferable. JukeHouse may verify eligibility and withhold or revoke benefits obtained through error, fraud, duplicate or sham Accounts, or other abuse.
